Going Beyond Photography: Alex Ruelo is INP's New Senior!
Almost all of the couples he has worked with do not fall short of praises for this gem of a photographer. And it's not just because he is talented and incredibly creative; it's mostly because of his heart. To his couples, he is more than just a wedding photographer, he is a friend--someone who's ready to go the extra mile and help keep your wedding day fun, light, and stress-free (if that's even possible!) All that, while delivering great photos.
Sound like the perfect ingredients for a timely promotion? We think so, too. INP welcomes this talented photographer who now receives the fruits of growth and dedication. Meet our new Senior, Alex Ruelo!
Long before the DSLR, filters, and Instagram craze, there were film cameras. Alex once found one of those dusty cameras lying around in their garage, never knowing that it would launch him to a newfound passion for photography. Alex wanted to pursue this hobby but he did not have the money to buy better equipment.
So Alex took his trusty Yashica SLR film cam all the way to the US wherein he was able to save money from his shooting stints and finally bought his first SLR. He enrolled himself in New York Institute of Photography as he was shooting portraits and weddings meanwhile. After several years of life abroad, Alex returned to the Philippines with a whole lot of experience under his sleeves.
Alex met John Ong of Imagine Nation Photography and was invited to join the team's apprenticeship program. Soon after, he became a junior photographer wherein he faithfully served couples.
And by serve, we did not mean he merely just shot their weddings. Whether as main or backup photographer, Alex made sure he gives his best to his couples, plus a little extra. He was just never too busy to chat with them, pray for them, help them out with other suppliers, give them advice, or even as simple as personally coordinate with them about their booking details. Those tasks are beyond his job description, but Alex heartfully goes the extra mile to bless his couples.
Like all of INP's talented photographers, Alex shoots excellently in whatever condition, whether rain, shine, or low light. All the years of shooting taught him how to roll with the punches and deliver excellent photos. When it comes to his style of shooting, light is Alex's best friend. He loves working creatively with flashes and strobes and how these things can create and recreate the scene.
Even if it took years, the Senior promotion came at God's perfect time, says Alex. He quotes the passage in Ecclesiastes 3:1 which reads "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens."
"It happened when I least expected it," Alex surmises, "The last few times that there were promotions, I was thinking to myself, 'I wanted to be promoted, too.' But when it finally happened, it came like a surprise! Everything really happens in God's perfect timing." Alex gladly waited and God took time to grow his skills meanwhile. With his craft honed and his heart humbled to serve more couples, the time is truly ripe for Alex Ruelo to be a bigger blessing to the industry as INP's new Senior.
Photography is a privilege of touching hearts and capturing beauty in different forms, Alex learns. He shares: "All couples and bookings are sent by Him. And I am grateful for each one that I get. I pray that in each booking, I can share God's love with the couples, even in the littlest detail."
Invite Alex to your special day! Contact Imagine Nation Photography and find out how you can have Alex on your next event.
