Boo! Haunted Images That Will Give Freddy Krueger Nightmares

Have you ever found yourself so curious to check out a supposedly “scary picture” and yet so eager to put your hands over your eyes? In spite of the immense fear that shoots through us when we see anything that resembles a monster, a ghost, or the undead in whatever creepy form, there are simply times when we cannot help but take a peek. Strange behavior? Exactly.

Sometimes, we are actually itching to click a link that leads to some creepy photos, yet feel the need to stop ourselves. No, this is not the same kind of pull of resistance we feel when we are about to check out something rather uncommon, like boudoir photography or something private. It’s more like the struggle to stop yourself from seeing some images that you might not be able to forget in the nights to come.

Now, just to prove how peculiar most folks can be, all we have to do is look around the Internet because, in spite of the effect of these haunting images, some people actually like to post and share them, making sure they get around the web. And yes, you’ve got it… that is just what we are about to do!

The Internet is full of these so-called scary photos, some grabbed from movie scenes, some Photoshopped, and some “authentic.” There is no doubt that you have encountered some hair-raising and spine-chilling images on social media sites. In the spirit (pun intended, of course) of fun and fear, here are some rather haunting images that just might give Freddy Krueger – and definitely you – some nightmares.

1. The Hallway Lady

You know how there is just something about empty, hospital-looking hallways? Somehow they manage to creep you out without even trying all that hard. The mystery of who could come strolling (or maybe even materialize out of thin air) makes hallways sort of eerie.

Now, this photo is even worse, because it combines an empty hallway with yet another spooky image—a floating figure in a long dress! Honestly, this lady could have had her back to the camera, sparing us the view of the creepy face, and this image would still haunt you in your dreams.

3. Real Captured Ghosts

Now, we can probably all agree that this is the scariest sort. If we can truly trust these users who have posted real photos that have captured the appearance of real ghosts, then your goose bumps should be rising right about… now. Yes, we can drown out these stories by the fact that we cannot see them, but the knowledge of their presence is actually creepy enough.

Here are some images that some folks around the web have shared, each containing some accidentally captured figures of people who weren’t supposed to be in the shot.

** Some photos for #3 can be found here. I am not too sure how many you want to put, but perhaps you could choose from the ones in these pages. Linking you directly so you can refer to the stories for your captions.
