The sporty photographer brings a whole new kick to his career. One of the fastest growing Imagine Nation junior photographers in his batch, this awesome talent finally received a sweet news right before Christmas--a promotion letter! Couples, meet the young (and handsome?) photographer who's about to put the fresh, upbeat spunk to the senior level bunch--Jed Ray Calara!

So what's the skinny on Jed? A Mass Comm graduate (but realized early on that his life's calling must be anything but Media); a funny guy who possesses such life-changing skills of spoofing voices and speech patterns of other people; quick-witted and fun. Jed's definitely a guy full of life. All his vigor finds its home in the soccer field. If you don’t find Jed shooting with a camera, you'll find him on his soccer uniform and high socks, kicking. He plays as Center Forward for Pasig United FC, a semi-pro club. Jed definitely loves soccer, (just check out his pairs of high end pro soccer shoes!) But as you could see from his shots, the spunky athlete's got a sensitive side, too.

Jed found his romantic spot for the still frame art in 2009 when he saw Imagine Nation's onsite photo slideshow at his brother's wedding. There was something pivotal with that moment; it was right there when Jed knew in his heart that his calling was not just to make good plays on the field but to play with light and capture amazing memories as they unfold. From then on he knew that photography was a new field he would want to shine in.

Jed checked out tutorials on Youtube, learning to work his camera on his own. He began to practice what he was learning by working as a freelance photographer. Eventually, this new pursuit led him to join Imagine Nation's Purpose Driven Photographer workshop and that became a turning point both in his career and in his life.

Over the Purpose-Driven Life sessions, Jed met Christ. The call for photography became a call to serve God through his gifts. And in 2010, Jed joined INP's batch of apprentices, blessing couples alongside Imagine Nation photographers. In two years, he acquired not just shooting skills but also the heart that makes an INP photographer. From being an apprentice, he was promoted to Junior Photographer and now, after months of faithfully serving couples, Jed is now welcomed with another promotion, and this time to a whole new level!
